Junk Removal Roseway & Rose City Park

Junk Removal in
Roseway & Rose City Park

Quiet, gridded NE streets of 1920s–40s Craftsman and Tudor homes (97213) — suburban-in-the-city, with lawns, driveways, detached garages, and the thing the Sun Belt doesn't have: real basements. When one fills up after twenty or forty years, we clear the whole thing, carry it up the stairs ourselves, and take the garage while we're at it. One flat photo-quoted truck-fill, same-day when we can, and no Oregon sales tax on top.

Suburban-in-the-city, with a full basement to prove it

Roseway and Rose City Park read like a quiet suburb dropped into the middle of the city — long, gridded blocks of 1920s–40s Craftsman and Tudor single-family homes with front lawns, driveways, and detached garages, wrapped around the Rose City golf course and a short hop from Sandy Boulevard. It's a family neighborhood people settle into. And like the rest of old Portland, these houses were built over full basements — which, decades in, is where everything ends up: the extra furniture, the seasonal bins, the paint and tools, the boxes that softened in the damp of a wet-country basement.

Clearing that basement is the job we do most in Roseway, and the promise is simple: we carry it up the stairs. You don't drag a single box out to the curb, you don't pay a meter, and you don't get a different number when the truck shows up. It's one flat truck-fill quoted from a couple of photos, and because most of these lots have a detached garage holding its own decades of overflow, we clear that in the same visit. Oregon has no sales tax, so the flat price is the whole price — nothing added at the end.

The Roseway basement-and-garage job

  • Full basement cleanouts — the entire below-grade level emptied and swept, carried up the stairs by us.
  • Detached garage cleanouts — tools, tires, lumber, an old lawn mower, and the driveway overflow, all in one load.
  • Whole-house truck-fill — a room at a time or the whole place, quoted flat by volume before a sale or a move.
  • Downsizing clears — right-sizing a long-held Rose City Park home, good pieces donation-routed with receipts.
  • Furniture & appliances — heavy below-grade pieces, old washers, dryers, and fridges with the freon handled.

Basement and garage, one flat truck-fill

The reason a Roseway cleanout is easy to price is that it's usually two spaces and one problem: a basement that's held a couple of decades of storage and a detached garage that quietly became a second one. We don't split those into separate visits or nickel-and-dime them per item — we photo-quote the whole thing as a single flat truck-fill, show up, and empty both, carrying everything up the basement stairs and out of the garage ourselves. If there's a pile of yard debris or a broken-down mower in the driveway too, it rides along in the same load. You get one number, one trip, and a basement and garage you can actually use again.

Why not just use the city bulky pickup?

The City of Portland bulky-waste program works for a single item left at the curb, but it's curbside-only, priced per item with an $18 trip fee plus $6–$51 an item, and it runs on a seven-day turnaround. A full basement plus a packed garage means hauling every piece out to the curb yourself and paying per item, then waiting a week for the truck. For a real cleanout, one flat truck-fill is usually cheaper and always faster: we carry it out of the basement and garage for you and haul it same-day when we can — no per-item tally, no week-long wait, and no sales tax.

Where it goes after

We keep as much out of the landfill as we can — it's the Portland way and it's part of how we hold the price. Usable furniture and household goods go to Goodwill of the Columbia Willamette, Community Warehouse, or Habitat's ReStore with a donation receipt; mattresses and box springs are recycled free under Oregon's stewardship program; TVs and computers go to Oregon E-Cycles at no charge; and the metal in that old mower, washer, or fridge gets recycled after the freon is recovered. Diverting all of it lowers our disposal cost, which is part of why the flat truck-fill stays fair.

What Roseway customers say

★★★★★

"Our 1930s Rose City Park house had a basement crammed since we bought it, plus a garage we couldn't park in. They took both in one trip, carried it all up the stairs, and quoted the whole thing flat from photos. Same-week and no games."

— Karen L., Rose City Park
★★★★★

"Half the basement boxes were soft from years of damp. Didn't faze them a bit — hauled it all, recycled the old washer, routed the decent furniture to donation, and gave me the receipt. Fair price, no sales tax."

— Tom V., Roseway
★★★★★

"Clearing the garage and a dead mower before we sold — flat quote from a photo, gone the same day, driveway swept. Exactly what I hoped for and nothing I didn't."

— Rachel D., NE 72nd
