The east-county gateway (97030, 97080, 97024, 97060) — post-war houses and apartment complexes where a lot of working Portland lives, and home to Oregon's largest Slavic (Russian and Ukrainian) community alongside a big Latino population. The job out here is straightforward value truck-fill: a garage cleared, an apartment emptied, an old appliance gone — one flat photo price, carried out, same-day when we can. We quote in Russian and Spanish as well as English, and there's never any Oregon sales tax on top.
The east-county gateway, priced honestly
Gresham and the little cities strung along its edge — Fairview, Wood Village, and Troutdale — are where the metro spreads east toward the Gorge: modest post-war single-family homes, ranch houses on generous lots, and big garden-apartment complexes near the MAX line. It's a working, immigrant-dense corner of the region, and it holds something no other part of Oregon does — the state's largest concentration of Slavic refugees, Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking families who settled across east Portland and Gresham over the past few decades, next to a large and growing Latino community around Rockwood. This is the region's affordability floor, and people out here want the same thing everyone does but rarely get: a fair number, a crew that shows up, and no surprises at the door.
That's the whole way we work. Send a photo, get a flat price that already covers the labor, the truck, the drive, and the dump fees — no hourly meter, no "we'll know when we see it," no day-of upcharge. Two things make us the right call here specifically. First, language: a lot of east-county households aren't served in their own language by anyone, so we quote and schedule in Russian and Spanish — nobody has to pull a grandchild out of school to translate a price. Second, the total: Oregon has no sales tax, so the flat number you're quoted is the whole number, start to finish. Дом, квартира, гараж или двор — you'll know the price before we lift a thing.
What we haul across east county
- Single-family truck-fill / расчистка дома — a house full of accumulated stuff, or a room at a time, quoted flat by volume.
- Apartment move-outs / после переезда — a whole unit cleared between leases: couch, mattress, and boxes in one trip.
- Garage & yard cleanouts / уборка гаража — tools, tires, lumber, brush, broken fencing, and yard debris in the same load.
- Appliance & fridge haul / вывоз техники — washers, dryers, and refrigerators with the freon handled and the metal recycled.
- Estate & downsizing clears — a parent's or grandparent's home emptied and carried out, handled with respect.

Why not the city's bulky pickup?
For one item at the curb, the local bulky-waste program has its place — but read how it works before you count on it. It's curbside-only, scheduled through your franchised garbage hauler, priced per item with an $18 trip fee plus $6–$51 an item (a coolant appliance like a fridge runs the top of that range), and it can take up to seven days to come. You still have to drag everything out to the curb yourself, and a whole apartment or a packed garage adds up fast at per-item rates. For a real cleanout, one flat truck-fill is usually cheaper and always faster: we come to you, carry it out — up from the garage, down from the apartment, out of the yard — and haul it the same day when we can. No per-item math, no week's wait, no tax.
Where it goes after
We keep as much out of the landfill as we can, which is both the Portland way and part of how we hold the price down. Usable furniture and household goods go to Goodwill of the Columbia Willamette, Community Warehouse, or the Habitat for Humanity ReStore; mattresses and box springs are recycled free under Oregon's new stewardship program; TVs and computers go to Oregon E-Cycles at no charge; and old washers, dryers, and refrigerators get their metal recycled after the freon is recovered. Diverting all of that lowers our disposal cost — part of why the value stays real out here.
