Junk Removal in
Centennial & Hazelwood
Outer-east Portland along the MAX line (97233, 97236) — apartment complexes and post-war single-family homes, a diverse, working-class, largely immigrant part of the city. The everyday job here is the apartment move-out and the value single-family truck-fill: cleared, carried out, and hauled for a fair flat price. We quote in Spanish as well as English, same-day when we can, and there's never Oregon sales tax on the total.
Move-outs and truck-fill along the MAX line
Centennial and Hazelwood sit in outer-east Portland where the MAX Blue Line threads through a landscape of apartment complexes and modest post-war single-family homes (97233, 97236). It's a diverse, working neighborhood with a lot of renters and a lot of immigrant families, and that shapes the work: leases turn over fast, so the bread-and-butter job is the apartment move-out — a unit emptied between tenants, the couch and the mattress and the last of the boxes carried out to the truck. Alongside that is the value single-family cleanout: a garage, a back bedroom, or a whole small house cleared by volume for one flat number.
What people out here want is straightforward — a fair price, a crew that actually shows up, and no surprises. So we quote flat from photos, carry everything ourselves, and skip the hourly meter. And because Oregon has no sales tax, the number we quote is the number you pay, start to finish. If you'd rather sort out the details in Spanish, we do that too, so a family member never has to translate the price for you.
What we haul in Centennial & Hazelwood
- Apartment move-outs — a whole unit cleared between leases, carried out to the truck in one trip.
- Couch + mattress hauls — the quick two-piece move-out, quoted as a single flat price.
- Value single-family truck-fill — a garage, a bedroom, or a whole house cleared by volume.
- Appliances — washers, dryers, and fridges with the freon handled and the metal recycled.
- Furniture & odds and ends — dressers, bed frames, and the accumulated stuff a move leaves behind.

Faster than the city, without the per-item math
Portland's bulky-waste program is an option for a single item, but it isn't built for a move-out: it's curbside-only, priced per item with an $18 trip fee plus $6–$51 an item, and it can take up to seven days — and you still have to haul everything out of the apartment and down to the curb yourself. When you've got a lease ending and a whole unit to clear, that's the opposite of helpful. We carry it out of the unit, quote the whole thing as one flat truck-fill, and haul it the same day when we can — no per-item adding up, no week-long wait, and no sales tax on the total.
Where it goes after
We divert what we can, which keeps the price fair and keeps usable things out of the landfill. Resellable furniture and household goods go to Goodwill of the Columbia Willamette, Community Warehouse, or Habitat's ReStore; mattresses and box springs are recycled free under Oregon's stewardship program; TVs and electronics go to Oregon E-Cycles at no charge; and old washers, dryers, and fridges get their metal recycled after freon recovery. Every bit we divert trims our disposal cost — which is part of how the flat price stays low.
